Roots Manuva is one of the smoothest and most inventive mc’s today. There’s plenty of colossal insight in this one to match the colossal interest in this British mc, yet it appears that his ego is in line with his wisdom. Roots is careful not to be pigeon-holed in any one style as he seems comfortable flipping any which one he desires. Although the blinged-out masses following mainstream hiphop can’t be bothered to notice, I can’t say I mind keeping some things pure. Be sure your not foolish enough to miss this talented rhymesayer.
