Wow, this is a Sonic Youth song I actually like. I give them a lot of credit for doing what they did back in the day, but I still don’t want to listen to most of it. Here, they end one of their most accessible efforts with minutes on end of screeching feedback and reverb. It’s as if they wanted to make sure that this never got played on the radio. In a nutshell that kind of sums up Sonic Youth. If you weren’t there, it probably doesn’t mean as much to you.
