Breaking the boundaries of the South American, the allure of The River Raid is encompassed by TONI (vocals/ guitar), PRAGA (vocals/ guitar), GIBA (guitars/ moog), DUDU (bass) and GUZZ (drums/ sampler). With influences by The Stooges, Radiohead, as well as other Brazilian artists from the 60′s and 70′s, their self titled debut album, The River Raid embraces the spicy sound of Rock and Roll.
These guys do rock’n'roll just the way I like it, filthy. Long gone are the days of respectable musicians in their matching suits. C’mon, the dragging of the standard through the mud pits was always where it was inevitably heading. If you’re afraid to let loose, than this just isn’t for you. Nice tie yuppie.
