Sometimes I don’t perceive things clearly the first time I encounter something. Whether it is a piece of art in a museum or a song on the radio. I have in the past, often allowed my views to be clouded by any number of factors that maybe should not have affected my evaluation. As I grow older, I’ve managed to shed quite a few of these layers of prejudice to truly evaluate art in an objective manner with little regard to it’s popularity, genre, or my previous preferences. Therefore, Blues Traveler, I must now renounce anything bad I’ve ever said about you. All I’ve ever heard from you is talented music that is more catchy than a California wildfire, and my previous vocal disdain for your likeness to other hippy hack bands was unfounded and regrettable. I must give you the props you have deserved for some time now. Even if it is over a decade late, I hope that we have a bright future together and may even someday be friends. My sincerest respect and apologies. These guys are a great band. Go see them perform and buy some music dammit.
