Gogol Bordello have been sprinkling the world with their unique eastern European punk rock flavor for some time now. Just this year they’ve received much deserved air time on the radio and I believe they will continue to blow up from there. Although most American audiences are not interested in foreign music with either different languages or heavy accents, Gogol Boredello has an almost irresistible charm to their offerings reminiscent of the Irish band the Pogues. By embracing their heritage and the traditional sounds of their culture, the have carved a niche for themselves that few might of thought could be turned into success. The next time Gogol Bordello comes to my town, I’m going to do whatever I can to get in that door and dance my as off.
